Frequently asked questions

1. Do you offer live and self-paced courses?

Yes. We offer live, instructor-led courses for learners who want real-time interaction, and self-paced courses for those who need maximum flexibility. Many students use a mix of both as their schedule allows.

2. Are your courses approved for PMI certifications and PDUs?

Project Success Academy is a PMI Authorized Training Partner, and our exam prep courses are designed to support PMI certifications, such as PMP®, CAPM®, PMI-ACP®, and PMI-RMP®. Many offerings also qualify for Professional Development Units (PDUs); check each course page for specific details.

3. Which course should I start with if I’m new to project management?

If you’re new to project work, we recommend starting with a foundational course or a self-paced option that introduces core project concepts and terminology. From there, you can decide whether to pursue a certification path like CAPM® or PMP® as your experience grows.

4. How long will I have access to my course?

Access duration varies by course, but most self-paced programs offer extended or ongoing access so you can revisit materials as needed. Live courses typically include access to recordings and resources for a set period after the sessions end; see each course page for exact details.

5. What are the prerequisites for PMP® Exam Prep?

PMP® is designed for experienced project professionals who have been leading or directing projects. Before you apply, you’ll want to confirm you meet PMI’s education and experience requirements.

  • You need a combination of formal education and documented project leadership experience.
  • You must complete at least 35 hours of project management education or hold an active CAPM®.
  • All experience must be within PMI’s specified time frame before your exam application.

6. What are the prerequisites for PMI-RMP® Exam Prep?

PMI-RMP® is for professionals who already work with project risk and want to specialize further. You should be comfortable with risk concepts and ready to document your experience for PMI.

  • You need a qualifying level of formal education (such as secondary or higher).
  • You must have dedicated project risk management experience within the last several years.
  • You must complete a set number of contact hours in formal risk management education.

7. What are the prerequisites for CAPM® Exam Prep?

CAPM® is designed for new or aspiring project professionals, students, and career changers. The requirements are lighter than PMP® and focus on basic education plus project management learning.

  • You need at least a secondary degree (such as a high school diploma or equivalent).
  • You must complete at least 23 hours of project management education before the exam.
  • You should be ready to learn foundational project concepts and terminology.

8. What are the prerequisites for PMI-ACP® Exam Prep?

PMI-ACP® is intended for practitioners who already have experience working with agile practices. You should have time on agile or hybrid teams, plus formal agile training.

  • You need a secondary degree or its global equivalent as your education baseline.
  • You must meet PMI’s minimum hours of general project experience and agile practice.
  • You must complete formal training in agile practices from a recognized provider.

9. How do I choose the right course for my experience level?

Start by deciding whether you want a foundational course or a certification path. Think about how much project and/or agile experience you already have. If you’re unsure, contact us, and we can recommend a starting point.

10. What support do I get before and after the course?

You get access to course materials and instructor guidance during the program. Many courses include office hours, Q&A, or discussion opportunities. You can revisit recordings or resources for a set period after your course ends.
